The Semuc Champey Natural Park in the Q’eqchi ‘language means «where the river hides» is a limestone rock bridge approximately 300 meters long over the Cahabón river, making it a unique spectacle to this natural paradise.
Located in a thick tropical forest 12 km from the municipality of Lanquín, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Submerged in the dense forest in the middle of it consists of several pools formed of different depths, depending on the season it can reach up to 4 meters deep, fed by crystalline water filtered from the mountains, being of a turquoise or jade color depending on the climatic factors and the amount of light that touches its waters.
It consists of signposted paths, bathrooms, dressing rooms, rustic lockers and a viewpoint which is at a height of 700 meters and the ascent is usually made in one hour, as well as a 40-foot high waterfall.
